The Flint Fire Department is pleased to announce the imminent arrival of two new pieces of fire fighting apparatus to their arsenal. A Quint truck and a Squad truck.
So, what is a Quint?
A quint truck is an apparatus that combines the equipment capabilities of a ladder truck and the water-pumping ability of a fire engine. As its name implies, it features five main tools to carry out firefighting functions: *Pump, *Water Tank, *Fire Hose, *Aerial Device, and *Ground Ladders.
A Squad is used to transport necessary equipment and personnel to a scene.
