Flint Public Library Grand Re-Opening!

It has been a little more than two years since Flint Public Library closed the Kearsley Street building for renovations.  Now we are thrilled to welcome the public back to our beautifully updated Library!

Here are the dates you need to know:

  • Thursday, May 19: you can stop by the Library between 12:00-4:00pm for a self-guided tour.
  • Friday, May 20: we will resume our normal operating hours and staff will be available to assist you from 9:00am-6:00pm.
  • Saturday, May 21: this is the big day of community celebration. Join us for a Grand Opening Extravaganza, featuring special events and fun for all ages.  You can find more details on our website, fpl.info.

We look forward to welcoming you back!

New Library Website

We have recently launched a new Library website to better serve our patrons and community.

The address is still the same (fpl.info) but it’s new and improved.  If you have not yet visited, check it out!

Some of the important new additions:

  • The home page calendar, which highlights upcoming programs
  • Online obituary and research requests
  • Quick, homepage access to some of our most popular services
  • An index of community resource links related to a variety of topics
  • And much more!

Please let us know if you have any questions, and happy exploring!
