Community Celebration: Chavez Huerta Dinner

On Friday, March 31st, The Latinx Technology & Community Center of Flint celebrated the legacy of two civil rights icons, Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta. The event was held at the UAW Local 652 in Flint and was a day filled with music, food, and community building. The event featured live music, dancers and scholarship awards, as well as guest speakers like Delia Fernandez who spoke about the impact of Chavez and Huerta. Community leaders were nominated and Sixto Olivio was awarded for his leadership role in the community.

The event was a great success, with hundreds of people coming together to honor the contributions of these two iconic leaders. It was a reminder of the importance of coming together as a community to celebrate our history and culture, and to continue the fight for justice and equality for all. The Latinx Technology & Community Center hopes to continue organizing events that celebrate the contributions of Latinx leaders and inspire the community to continue fighting for justice and equality. LTCC believes that events like this help to strengthen the community and bring people together in a positive and uplifting way.
