Q. I am presently going through so many trials that I’m feeling overwhelmed, angry, and even seeing signs of depression. I can’t seem to find anyone who understands or even appears to care. All my family and friends are so busy, they either don’t have time or have any desire to listen to my problems. I’m at a loss for what I can do to help myself to feel better. What would you advise me to do Kia?
A. My question to you is, ‘Do you know who God is?’ I suggest you dedicate a certain time each and every day to read a Bible and learn what God says about who He is. Spending Quiet time with our Lord and Savior will reveal the truth of his Ever-presence, and His indescribable love for you. He is never too busy, and He is always available to you. Know that God is real, and you can depend on His promise to never leave you nor forsake you. He will speak to you in ways that you will recognize His voice and fill your heart with joy and contentment. Be Blessed.
Q. Why is it, Kia, that so many people seem to support what I can clearly see is wrong and even evil?
A. Know that there are some people who are not in touch, nor accepting of the Word of God. Jesus, the Son of God, is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the Good Shepherd, and those who choose not to follow Him are certain to make ungodly choices. I suggest you pray and ask God to help and strengthen those who you clearly see walking in darkness rather than in God’s Marvelous Light.
Know that God has the power to open the eyes of the blind and give wisdom to those who are lacking.
Q. I am dreading Winter and hoping it doesn’t snow. Some of my friends love it, and I just don’t understand why. What can I do to be more accepting of what is impossible for me to do anything about?
A. Tell yourself and believe that God is the Creator of absolutely everything that exists and He is perfect in all His ways. It is impossible for God to make mistakes, and everything that He does works for the good of those who love and trust Him. I suggest you make a list of things about snow that are good and beneficial to man, then purposely look around and take in the beauty of snow-covered mountains, trees, and landscapes. You may very well reconsider your feelings and grow to enjoy God’s gift of snow.
