CNPP SBA Program Wraps Up – Empowering Local Entrepreneurs with Key Partnerships

Latinx Technology and Community Center, Alongside Collaborators, Facilitates Connections for 41 Businesses

The successful conclusion of the CNPP Small Business Assistance (SBA) program not only marks a significant milestone for local entrepreneurs but also underscores the impact of strategic partnerships. The Latinx Technology and Community Center, in collaboration with key partners like 100k Ideas, City of Flint Best Practice Consultants, Berston, Flint Development Center, Factory Two, University of Michigan-Flint, and XLerateHealth, played a vital role in connecting 41 community members to essential business resources.

Resource Coordinator, Jose Lopez, from the Latinx Technology and Community Center, worked alongside these partners to facilitate the referral process. The collaboration ensured that entrepreneurs gained access to critical resources such as LLC registrations, IRS EIN numbers, safe serve certifications, and food license permits, providing a robust foundation for their success.

Among the local success stories are entrepreneurs like Jesus Lopez of Suso Cuban Pizzas, Beatriz Granados of Betty’s Cleaning, Zulma Mejia of Zulma’s Kitchen, Ismael Diaz of Flaco’s Tacos, TJ Black of The Sugar Shack, and Thikera Maham with her innovative products. Through the program and the combined efforts of the Latinx Technology and Community Center and its partners, these businesses received comprehensive assistance, not only in obtaining certifications and licenses but also in addressing technical issues crucial to the sustainability and growth of their ventures.

As the CNPP SBA program concludes, the collaboration between the Latinx Technology and Community Center and its partners stands as a shining example of the power of community-driven initiatives and strategic alliances. The legacy of this program will undoubtedly resonate in the continued prosperity of these businesses and the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of the community.
