½ cup cocoa
¼ cup sugar
⅛ t. salt
¼ cup water
1 cup white Karo syrup
2 tablespoons of butter
½ teaspoon vanilla
Combine all ingredients except vanilla and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add vanilla and serve over ice cream or leftover cake or cookies or whatever your chocolate loving sweet tooth desires. (Used hot and can re-heat repeatedly – gets to a stage of ‘cracks’ and is chewy after many re-heats)
