Rep. Kildee Announces Resource Guide to Filing Federal Taxes

Congressman Dan Kildee is working hard to provide resources to help our mid-Michigan community. We are proud to partner with community members and organizations like you.

On January 21, tax season began! Taxes can be complex, especially with all the changes made to help bring relief to the communities most impacted by the pandemic. Congressman Kildee’s office is here to help mid-Michigan residents this tax filing season.

Clicking or copying and pasting the link below is a resource guide for federal taxes. It includes information on the expanded Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit, places to file taxes for free and general guidance for taxpayers. It can also be found here. Please feel free to distribute to your communities, neighbors, friends and family.

The IRS issued a specific press release that provides advice to help make this filing season easier for people. The IRS also is continuing to look for more ways to help taxpayers and tax professionals this filing season; additional details are available on IRS.gov. The FAQ page has been updated to answer taxpayer and tax professional questions more effectively.
