We all remember what the Market’s pavilion was like after the move downtown in 2014.
There were local farmers, resellers of Michigan produce, bakers and crafters, all mixed together to make market days, especially Saturdays, busy and fun filled days.
Over the years, things began to change.
Some of the older anchor farmers retired. Some left the market. Some of our newest growers schedules became even more complicated with both farm and off-farm jobs.
And then Covid hit.
Now the Flint Farmers’ Market, in conjunction with Flint Fresh, is adapting the Pavilion experience to include the opportunity to access a wide selection of freshly picked produce from various local farmers in a focused site managed by Flint Fresh.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays the Flint Fresh truck in the pavilion will always have fresh local produce from several local farmers. Managed and “gathered” by Flint Fresh and always available for your weekday shopping.
This collaboration of many farmers with Flint Fresh facilitates the growing work for our community’s farmers and provides access to their produce on Tuesday and Thursday as well as at their Saturday stalls.
Flint Fresh Mobile Market will be under the pavilion at the Flint Farmers’ Market on E. First Street in downtown Flint, every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 4pm.
