The $11,940,869 in federal grants, awarded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will support the continuation of health care services, including primary and behavioral health care, to mid-Michigan residents, particularly those who are medically underserved or live in rural areas.

The following community health centers in mid-Michigan will receive the federal grants:

“Every Michigander deserves access to affordable health care. I am proud to announce these federal grants to help provide continued access to care for local children, families and seniors,” said Congressman Kildee. “I will continue to work in Congress to lower health care costs and bring federal resources home to mid-Michigan.”

Congressman Kildee has worked to ensure that mid-Michigan residents have access to quality, affordable health care.

Through his 2023 Community Project Funding initiative, Kildee secured $2 million to help the Bay County Health Department build a facility that will bring the county’s public health, primary care, substance abuse treatment and other human service programs and agencies together in a single complex.
