Introducing Senior Yoga!

Yoga is a practice that connects the body, breath, and mind.

It uses physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve overall health.  Yoga has been called one of the best forms of exercise for older adults because it is a low-impact activity that can be tailored to all fitness levels.

You don’t have to be flexible (or even athletic) to enjoy the benefits of yoga! Yoga can provide many benefits, including relaxation, increased flexibility and strength, better sleep, and much more.

Join us for a Senior Yoga class in partnership with the Crim Fitness Foundation.

Instructor Elizabeth Wise will guide this 6-week beginner class that is specifically designed with older adults in mind. The course will incorporate basic chair and standing yoga poses, stretching, and deep breathing to help you gain flexibility, strength and a sense of calm.

You won’t need a mat or any other special equipment.  Just come have fun as you learn a few basic poses that you can do at home, too.
