Q. Kia, what do you think is the motivation for some people to hate someone for no apparent reason; and to even do harm to them if the opportunity presents itself?
A. We must always be alert to the reality that the Devil is real, and his goal is to destroy all that is good. Although we live in a fallen world of darkness, deception, and sin, God has blessed us with the ability to choose our direction in life. We can follow Him, who is all good, or the Devil, who is all evil. Unfortunately, there are those who choose evil over good. We must remember, however, that God is still in full control, and the Devil was defeated by our Savior, Jesus Christ. We must keep our eyes and minds of Jesus and continue to pray for His will to be done. In God’s perfect timing, love will reign supreme over all the earth, and all hatred and evil will be gone forever. Be patient and wait on the Lord.
Q. Why do you think some people get away with things that others are quickly punished for?
A. First, we must believe and trust that God sees and knows absolutely everything; and although it may look like some people are ‘getting away’ with wrong doings, they are not. Know that the day is coming when God will judge the world with perfect equality. Everyone will be held accountable for their deeds and behaviors, both good and bad.
Q. Kia, I would love to travel and see the world, but my income does not allow it. I feel so sad when some of my friends laugh and talk about all their travels and how much fun they had. How can I get to see the world when it costs so much more than I could ever afford?
A. God’s beauty and wonders are free to all who pay attention. Take a walk and observe the many free and beautiful attractions around you. Watch a sunrise or a sunset, count as may stars as you can, gaze at the moon, smell the flowers, watch the falling rain, and even stand in it and allow it to fall on your face… Wherever you are, God is there and His wonders are free to behold. Love is the only price you must pay, and it is free to all.
