The University of Michigan-Flint recognizes the call for social justice and the need to continue the work that was implemented so many years ago by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. As with organizations all over the country, UM-Flint celebrates Dr. King’s life work on the national MLK Day holiday through civic engagement activities on and off campus.
Putting knowledge to work, research, and community partnerships are year-round priorities for UM-Flint students, staff, and faculty. We have much to be proud of, and much more to do. UM-Flint carries on the living legacy and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through what we call More Than a Day, a Year of Expression.
This year, in order for our University community to engage with virtual service opportunities, we are hosting a virtual service fair. Join us to explore options for short term and long-term partnerships with different agencies and find a cause that you are passionate about.
